An Independent Qualified Person (IQP) is a specialist who is registered and approved by the local council to inspect, maintain, and certify specified systems within a building.

Only an IQP can:

  • Inspect specified systems

  • Verify ongoing compliance

  • Issue Form 12A certificates, which are required to complete a BWOF
